Anipal create pet products with a difference. The worlds oceans are facing a global emergency, with the United Nations estimating that the amount of plastic in the oceans will outweigh fish by 2050. Anipals mission is to collect plastic that would otherwise end up in the ocean and recycle this into innovative vet and pet products.
Anipal's founder, Dr Steph Stubbe, was inspired following her experience working as an RSPCA veterinarian and seeing numerous cases of wildlife being injured by plastics and human pollution. This is reflected in the beautiful designs of the collars and leashes, which feature threatened native Australian species.
Billie the Bilby Dog Lead is made from recycled plastic bottles that are cleaned, pelletised and spun into a durable yarn. The Bilby is an ecosystem engineer, constructing tunnels that are used as habitat by many native Australian species.
